Then there's the rewards:
- Earn 2 points† for every $1 spent on eligible purchases made direct through Air Canada® purchases (including Air Canada Vacations®)
- Earn 1.5 points† for every $1 spent on eligible gas, grocery, travel and dining purchases
- Earn 1.25 points† for every $1 spent on all other purchases made with your Card

The TD Low Rate Visa* Card offers one of the very best introductory APRs that isn't 0%:
With everyday use the interest rate on purchases (12.9%) is very competitive (as is the 12.9% cash advance APR). The card does carry an annual fee of $25, but again, that fee is competitive with other options from the Big 5.

The TD U.S. Dollar Visa* Card isn't the most luxurious card; nor will it offer huge rewards like the TD® Aeroplan® Visa Infinite Privilege*. That said, it's still a great credit card to consider if you travel to the US often and want to avoid paying a foreign transaction fee to use your credit card for gas, dinner, or whatever it is you choose to spend your money on.
Beyond the lack of a fee on US dollar transactions, the US Dollar Visa also provides essential travel protections, like $500,000 in travel accident coverage, $5,000 in trip cancellation coverage, and rental car insurance.

Expert tip: Use your TD card for gas at the pump in the US
Are you traveling to the United States and hoping to take your TD Rewards credit card with you to pay for gas for your vehicle? Most US gas pumps require a Zip Code, which might put some off from paying with their card - after all, Canadians don't have Zip Codes!
No worries: just use the three digits of your postal code (e.g., M4P 3A2 = 432) followed by two zeros (so our Zip Code would be 43200, for example) and you can to pay at the pump using your TD card.
There are a few different ways to get a TD credit card, but the easiest method is as follows:
- Browse the list of best TD credit cards and find a card you’re interested in.
- Click apply now.
- Log in to TD if you’re an existing client or start the application as a new customer.
- Enter your personal information.
- If you don’t get instant approval, call TD at 1-800-983-8472 and quote your application reference number.
- Provide additional details if required.
- Wait for your card to arrive.
- Activate your card .
Applying online is typically the easiest way to get a TD credit card, but you can also apply in person at a branch or via phone if you’re someone who prefers speaking to someone directly.
You can use your TD credit cards anywhere that accept Visa, the only card type TD issues.
Interest is charged on any amount you charge per month that isn’t repaid by the due date. How much interest you’ll pay depends on the card you have and the type of transaction. Typically, interest rates are 19.99% but can be higher for premium cards and lower for no-frills cards.
In order to reap the benefits of the TD rewards and benefits card, you need to meet the requirements of use, which can include minimum purchase amounts and/or maximum benefit amounts.
Depending on your unique needs and financial situation, you may qualify for some cards and not others. To know which card is best for you and which you can trust you will qualify for, review each card that is available to determine your best chance to get the best card with the best benefit.
TD credit cards offer three types of rewards programs: cash back, TD Rewards, and Aeroplan. Cash back is straightforward to understand, but the two different travel programs can affect your benefits and the value of your points. When picking a credit card, the rewards program is often a major consideration, so you’ll want to know how the TD credit cards rewards programs work.
Some of the best TD credit cards offer the perk of generating TD rewards, worth between $0.0025-$0.005 each, depending on how cardholders opt to redeem them. Cardholders get the best overall value out of their TD points by redeeming them for travel through Expedia, but TD also allows them to be redeemed for a range of merchandise, a statement credit, or to pay off tuition or a student loan.
